Getting back to the topic, I was pulled over last Thursday night on Russell St in the City (Melb) because I nearly redlined 1st gear in an attempt to evade a car stopped over on the left lane waiting for parking and a guy on the right exiting a u-turn on the median strip of parked cars. Maybe it was a little brash on my part but I indicated and speed was not excessive, just loud. His reason for pulling me over was 'dangerous driving' and actually warned me about speeding, which I said I couldn't have been as I wasn't out of 1st gear and therefore could not go over 60kph, to which he replied that the city limit was 50kph - well OK fair enough. Anyway, they proceeded to check my details and "look into me eyes" to see if I was really wearing contacts, etc. In the end they let me off with a warning - a fair warning I suppose. I'm not saying that the cops here were being a@$holes (even though it did feel it at the time), but I attracted their attention. In fact I would rather see them doing more of this rather than just sit behind a bush with a blowdryer all day.
And previous to this around 6 weeks ago, I was pulled over in the city again, for no reason whatsoever this time. They just asked for my licence and checked my rego and then I was off.

There is an issue with the indocators being low power and resulting in very quick flashing. You need a low power flash can as well apparently.
I just got an e-mail from SRS saying that they don't have them and it takes a lot of time to do all the research and import them! . Who wants a group buy from one of the US companies?

Just got booked today on King Georges rd, AAAHHHHHH.....
he did a u turn and followed me, after passing him on opposite lane for about 10 min, and finally caught up with me..
i was really surprised that he would chase me to give me a ticket..
they would do anything to book someone..
