Iggy - Auto WRXs came out in the old model when they went to a smaller turbo on them about half way through the model cycle. When the headlights went from square to slightly rounded on the top inner corners. They are out in the new model as well. The cops thought that the WRXs were a bit tight for space and also they were a bit darty under brakes if you were trying to stop hard from high speed.

If you really wanted to get up the cops nose you could say that you can cut quicker lap times than a manual Commodore SS or Falcon XR8, let alone his girly automatic one.

DavidM - As far as I know all cop cars are autos. I guess that it saves on "driver abuse" on them. Probably easier to drive too. Just put the right foot down and concentrate on other stuff, radio, directions, stuff thrown from the car, etc. "150 in second" - must have the engine out of the Wheels magazine top speed test Commodore.

It's a fact of life, anything out of the ordinary the cops can pull you over and sometimes it's your word against theirs. Maybe you could have asked him for video evidence, the cameras are meant to be coming in the cars. If you ask to see the playback they might get a bit narky. They also carry guns.

Cop cars are getting sneaky looking. I've seen them with mags, tinted glass and tow balls. Even an XR8 ute with a "grizzly" bar. Some of them I can't pick walking past them let alone at 100+ kmh.

Perhaps I'm a bit thick, but I still haven't worked out what this means (and I bet I'm not the only one). Are you referring to Asterix or Obelix? Getafix perhaps?

That would be nice

Just my reaction to the idea of removing brake lights and indicators because they are ricey.
