"Bullshit, I can hit 150 in 2nd in my car (the commodore)"
Guy has no clue. Commodore reached 105kph in 2nd if you run it to the redline (which you rarelly do in a Commodore). The 3rd gear goes just over 150kph in that car.
Still, you got no fine so this was deninatelly one of the 'good ones'.

Maybe it was an auto Commodore?? but still 150 in second is a bit too much. Maybe he meant 115? heheh
Is there such thing as police-spec AUTO Commodore? I don't know, but if it was an auto then it does 130kph in 2nd gear. I suppose It's a bit closer to 150kph.

The price of flashy bits $10
The confused looks on the cops' faces....PRICELESS
IT's just soooo riceee......it's NOT COOL at all. It's actually a little bit nauseating in the dark especially last night, when I took the car up on the hill, on twisty roads.
It wont be long before I take it off. The last thing I need the from the cops at the moment, with the way I stick to the speed limit, is extra attention
from me for this RICE thing!

All cop cars are auto. The V8 models are very high geared.
No kidding?!?! I didn't realize cop cars were autos. That's not very good for chasing people ... yes, the V8 has plenty of torque (and hance does not lack in outright speed), but you never have the same control as in a manual. That really surprises me.
I am now trying to remember what is different between a Commodre auto box and a HSV one. HSV one has definatelly more revs and shorter final drive - hence still less speed in each gear (ie. shrter gearing) ... that would make the cop more right than I gave him credit for in the 1st place as the gearing is something like this:
1st = 80kph
2nd = 140kph
3rd = 240kph
4th = 350kph
I'll look it up when I get the chance.
