ok heres the thing, i would have never even considered installing a short shifter in the s2k considering the throw is pretty short arlready, though recently i received a C's short shift kit for my bday and now the dilemma is whether i should install it or not considering i got it for free.
any opinions or experiences with short shift kits would be much appreciated thanks

how much shorter can it get? ud have to be pretty ballsy to make and market a short shifter kit for the s2000. Kinda like facial cream for lepers....or maybe not

Been there, done that, took it off.
With the Muz knob and the C's short shifter it was just too short and required too much force. Not bad for casual driving but a horror on the track. I could seldom get 3rd first go.

I found the shift action in the pre'02 S2000s to be much better than newer models. There is more of a metallic chink to each shift whereas the 02 onwards cars have a more dulled but lighter action. Anyway, I don't see why you would want a C short shift kit. In terms of feel, accuracy, weighting and gate distance, the standard S2000 gearbox is top of the pops. Why improve on perfection? Get a Muz countersunk knob if you've got big hands or want a heavier feel and slightly shorter throw. I tried one but didn't like how it sat in my hand, so the stocker is best for me. Many others here love Muz's knobs though.

hmm i dunno i dont have the heart to sell due to it was a good mate that gave it to me so if i dont install it, it will just be sittin in my garage collecting dust.
So in general opinion it would more so hinder the performance of the car rather then improve it, as alot of majority of mods for cars out there do though peole still tend to go ahead with it so..... what to do what to do...
