We have already welcomed a few Aussies (and a couple of New Zealanders) to our ranks (including Leopardsocks), but you don't have to be Vintage to hang with us.

Hang on AusS, I only had an unfair advantage after 1971
But before that:
Stanley (2nd. from left) somewhere in Iran in 1969 and heading for the crossing of the Elburtz mountains into Teheran doing it the hard way to Germany in a Singapore registered 1960 Ford Consul after a bit of a slog around India and Pakistan and a run up The Khyber pass and through Afghanistan.

Thank you Leopardsocks.....was great to be around in that wonderful era of motor sport. ..wasn't it?
Not so loud.
But it was wonderful when those legends would drive anywhere, all over the world.
Unfortunately, very few came to SA, as we had no major races, until, of course 1985 when we really caught up.
The Australian F1 held in Adelaide was a golden time for me. But it was in such a contrast to the days when you could walk amongst, and chat with, the drivers, as you've so wonderfully captured.
Could do that with the V8 Supercars once, too, but now they seem to be erecting barriers. Shame. What do they expect us to do?
Ever thought of publishing your motor racing memoirs?

That car that was at Lexus was in a bad state. I saw it when it originally came in. it had to have the clutch repaired before anyone could drive it. It was worn out that car. Nordic hey? When did you purchase it? how many kms how much?
He tells me that the S2K bought from Lexus has cost him a grand already in parts and labour Nordic have done on the car for NON WARRANTY work.
