Well I more or less saw the vehicle as it came in. It had a deep gouge out of the bonnet the boot was dirty and the carpet worn out. The clutch 'thrust bearings' were stuffed and had to be repaired the dealership said it cost $3000 to repair and "was a common problem with the S" although the engine sounded pretty solid. I just hope the person knew this car was 'driven'
No, not at all.

Thought it was a pretty genuine low k model.

I hope the repairs hold up. They were a nice couple. They bought an Accord Euro at the same time from Nordic.

Talking

Hi there Leopardsock, welcome to the world of S2000. I have been a member here for sometime, and found everyones comments helpful in understanding the S2000 (Stereo upgrade etc). I also live here in Adelaide (BB398C). My car is Silver with Red interior. 2000 model with 33K's. This is my weekend car, I also have a Commodore SS (sorry). Completely different car but still fun.
Enjoy your car, it still never ceases to amaze me at the comments from people as you drive around with the roof down on a sunny in the S2000...

Hi to all

regards

Thanks for sending him our way Stanley. If nothing else, he has made your country safe from any visitors from the Vintage forum for the next 10 years. Anyway, in keeping with his view of our Imperial ways over here, I think I'll run for election as your CO.
What on Earth's happened here??...I've been away and missed the action!..I'll have to backtrack the threads and see what all the agro's about ....seeing I directed Leopardsocks over to VINTAGE

Is that all?...this just got me thinking and trying to work it out....so, lets see where I've been, in alphabetical order:

Afghanistan, Austria, Bahrain, Canada, China, Egypt, Fiji, France, Germany, Greece, India, Indonesia, Iran, Italy, Japan, Korea (sth), Malaysia, Mauritius, Mexico, Netherlands, New Zealand, Pakistan, Papua New Guinea, Philipines, Singapore, South Africa, Thailand, Turkey, USA, UK, Vietnam, Yugoslavia (former), Zambia, Zimbabwe + several territories, colonies & dependencies such as: Bermuda, French Polynesia, New Caledonia & Norfolk Island.

I think there may have been a few more places I've been but getting giddy now checking out my World globe

Hang on AusS, I only had an unfair advantage after 1971

But before that:

Stanley (2nd. from left) somewhere in Iran in 1969 and heading for the crossing of the Elburtz mountains into Teheran doing it the hard way to Germany in a Singapore registered 1960 Ford Consul after a bit of a slog around India and Pakistan and a run up The Khyber pass and through Afghanistan.
