Hey Leopardsocks,
Your S was that the one from the Lexus dealerships yard?
No. They sold that one just as I was about to take it for a test drive. Mine's from Nordic.

Crisis plates next Monday. Apparently, the plate maker shuts down over Xmas.

Hey Leopardsocks, have you ever actually been to the USA and/or spent some time there?
Yes.

Why do you ask?

I've also been to the UK, France, Holland, Swizterland, Egypt, Yemen, Thailand, China, Indonesia, Italy, Belgium, India...I think that about covers it.

Thanks for sending him our way Stanley. If nothing else, he has made your country safe from any visitors from the Vintage forum for the next 10 years. Anyway, in keeping with his view of our Imperial ways over here, I think I'll run for election as your CO.
Now Bill...You asked people to visit your Political forum, and I merely complied. Look at the view count...990 and climbing like a Space Shuttle. Dont confuse contentiousness with hostility.

And when you pay us a visit, bring the S2K.

That car that was at Lexus was in a bad state. I saw it when it originally came in. it had to have the clutch repaired before anyone could drive it. It was worn out that car. Nordic hey? When did you purchase it? how many kms how much?

Really? I know the people that bought it. They were signing up as I turned up for a test drive.

It had fewer k's than mine, and looked quite tidy. In the end, I have friends at Nordic, and had spoken to the previous owner (an oldie like me), so I thought it was solid. So far so good. I've bought three other cars from them, so I doubt they'd jerk me around with a shonky car.

It has 75K on the clock, and cost $38K. Bog standard, although the tyres were brand new, thankfully.

One owner, full service history with Nordic - I think its OK. But any glitches come up in the next three months and I'll get it checked out. Bought it 22/12.

I'm even thinking that the rear window should be replaced under warranty. A rear window with limited visibility is unroadworthy....

Well I more or less saw the vehicle as it came in. It had a deep gouge out of the bonnet the boot was dirty and the carpet worn out. The clutch 'thrust bearings' were stuffed and had to be repaired the dealership said it cost $3000 to repair and "was a common problem with the S" although the engine sounded pretty solid. I just hope the person knew this car was 'driven'
