Got my S
Finally got one!
I drove it from Melbourne to Adelaide Saturday morning...
Had a temporary unregistered vehicle permit - don't have rego plates yet.
this is what happened:
In VIC
-drove past 4 cop cars in vic country - didnt get pulled over...
In SA
-drove past 2 cop cars in sa country - still didnt get pulled over...
-1 cop car behind me (city) ~ 50metres - turned down a side street, still didnt pull me over....
-drove through a booze bus... didnt get pulled over
-drove past a cop car pulled in on a bus stop on a main road, drifted a u-turn to a mates house around 1km later - didnt see the same cop behind me
he pulled on the anchors and u-turned - i'd say he got 100m before i took the turn off to my friends house and i used nothing but 1st & 2nd gear all the way to my friends place
-turning home from the same main road the next day, cop bike was going straight, i was turning- looked in my rear view and he turned down my street.
FINALLY GOT PULLED OVER 150m from my house...
Cop said 'Firstly I wanted to know why you dont have any registration plates... and are you on P plates? why dont you have a P plate displayed back behind you?'
i said ' i just picked up the car and drove from melbourne... i have a permit from vic roads...'
he checked it out then said... ' how much did this thing cost you? ' -'34k' -'fukn nice one... o well just next time make sure you have P plates on'
What a legend... I didnt really want to lose another 3 points on the -8 i have already
gota get a new canopy so i can see clearly out the back plastic window... theres 2 lil impressions on the rear right hand quarter panel, but they should be easy to fix, im gona get a mate to fix it at his work place... and the drivers side lumber support is a lil cracked... but other than that its FUNTASTICAL!

Before you spend big bucks on a new canopy I suggest you try cleaning the existing rear window. For $20 at your local Honda dealer you can buy a bottle of Honda plastic cleaner.
Apply generously, rub vigorously - and hey presto - a clear rear window.
There are other (more expensive) brands of plastic cleaner available at places like Repco & Autobarn but I doubt that they work better than the Honda stuff.

Congratez on the purchase.
So are you staying in Adelaide or just passing by?
There is a ozhonda cruise down to Victor harbour (SA) next month if your interested.
