Tell me about it! I went on the Saturday as I've done for last few years (maybe more).
The weather only partially dampened my spirits, but the fact there were no crashes dampened far more - especially with the well controlled celebrities. Given the weather I was sure I would see some action!
But as always still a great day!

I thought Bill and Neil did quite a good job. What got me was the fact that although the transmission was in 16:9 the feed fromt he track was 4:3. So when you were looking at the commentators you got full screen, but when it switched to the action you had red strips on the sides. Crazy!

Have to admit I wasn't a fan of the coverage either.
Key reasons being:
1. Why would need a commercial break in the middle of a 5 lap celebrity race? and
2. Why do they continually show the drivers positions and pitstops at the bottom of the screen, with the occassional update of distance between drivers.
I wonder whether it would be far more sensible to have the distance between drivers shown after each lap with number of pitstops flashed up occassionally or shown via different colours. At least that way, as the viewer, you could work out what was happening with the cars they were not showing!
And to those who think it is a space issue - this is the way they used to show it.
