EOI: Who would like to get a 4 points roll cage?
I am in the process of getting a custom 4 points roll cage for the s2k f
I've told the workshop my preliminary design and they seems keen on the ideas. They will have a more careful look in the next few weeks. Basically, it's going to be a cage with
-bolt on base plates, 2 plates per each leg of the cage. You can get the bottom plates welded if required by motorsport authorities for compliance
-the soft top operates normally
-there will be removable cross bars (2 at this stage but this may change). The bars are removable for access to the hidden glovebox during street use. The bars are easily reinstalled for track activities through K&A patent cnc machined connection.
There won't be any cutting. You will have to remove 2 rear panels behind the seats. This is for stainless steel (I think) but you will have the option of chrome moly steel.
The cost in not know at this stage. It probably will be around $1k if there are enough interest. I am putting through 3 orders atm. They will probably be around 1200-1500. I will try to get this cage cams approved. Andra approval (for drag racing) is not worthy since, from what I gathered with a quick scroll of their rule book, you will need a full roll cage with a net over the top bars for 10.99 or faster runs Open day use of this cage for <10.99 run might be ok.
Please post your interest here. This thread is only an EOI atm and aim to improve the safety in case of a roll over. It is not any form of advertisement. I want to help improve the safety products avalibility for the s2k enthusiasts. I do not gain any money from this project. A lot of my time has been wasted this year but all for good motoring purposes
Merry Christmas and drive safely.

if you have nothing constructive to add then don't add at all, all your posts have just been aimed at paying the crap out of honda9krpm.
Get over yourself and stop bringing up these old threads that no one replied to anyway.

Roll cage designed were done by me and Lance Walker from Walker Chassis.
The design kept the secret compartment functional. The cage can be cam approved and is perfectly road legal with absolutely minimal plastic trimming.
Hat off for Mr Walker on this job.
He kept a template for the cage, interested parties are welcome.
