Looks like you guys had a lot of fun!

I hear the Elfin is so raw that it makes the Lotus Exige feel like a luxury car.

I could probably live with driving an Exige once a week, but the Elfin would be like once a month! 29 days of recovery following

Ambidextrous steering wheel - so you can use either hand ? wow.
Lefties must find it hard to drive other cars.

Looked like a great day.
Does anyone find them a tad on the expensive side though for what it is?

Yup the Elfin Streamliner is a weapon and a half.

Think of a normal Commodore SS 1700ish kg and 250kw (old engine). Weight/power = 6.8 kw per kg
Think of an Elfin 1090ish kg and 250kw. Weight/power=4.36 kw per kg
To get the equivalent grunt in a Commodore you need a 390 kw engine (people have got that out of a Holden engine but I think that they are rare).

It looks like the genIII LS1 still retained the wetsump from the pics. Is this true?
What gearbox is in these cars?

Thanks for the photo. You guys should bring a better camera next time:P

Did you start driving from the factory in Boundary Road Braeside?? If so, what route did you use to get to Mt Macedon?

We went from the Airport Hilton to Mt Macedon then back to the factory via St Kilda and Brighton.
