double din stereo in dash
hi guys
just wondering if anyone here has installed a double din stereo in the dash where the jdm sat nav sits. i thought it would be a straight forward install but after reading the s2ki forums the only guys i could find who did it was from the U.S and they had trouble as in interferes with the ac ducts, and airbag bracket behind the dash and I'm not sure if this problem only occurs with LHD s2000. i plan on using the oem bezzal and i want to install a full touch screen pioneer system. any help would be great thanks

the problem is
aftermarket headunit are too big/long and will hit the aircon pipes which goes to the passenger side. The navigation system on JDM s2000 are custom made by alpine but are fairly small in depth thats why it was possible. Unless you dont mind it sticking out you will have to modify the srs unit and the aircon pipes behind if i remember correctly too from doing my dash conversion i think our harness runs through that spot as well. Not to mention to remove the dash you have to remove half the trims + the steering rack and the wiring is a bitch to remove too. I settled with just a KIV-901BT from kenwood. I really wanted it too but if you of it this way it is extra weight then you dont want it as much ;D
BTW
On sataurday night i think i saw your car parked next to taste of shanghai lol
I didnt go to the meet i was too sick haha

Hey Aus what do you use the screen for at the moment that you have in the car. I really love the look of it and just want an excuse to put one in. Can you post a picture of it.
