Default Diff or cv's gone?

Hi guys, here's the deal:

Car running fine, but one diff mount leaking oil so got it changed. Others were worn but ok.

About a week later, I start hearing and feeling this thump/clunk noise when I put my foot down on the accelerator. The more power, the louder the thump. Also the faster the wheels are moving the quicker the thump.

Two more diff mounts are gone so deciding to change em all.. Changed 2 so far waiting for another to arrive from japan (rear passenger side). Oh and they're genuine Honda. Also my s2 is a 2000 ap1.

Anyway, It's still happening with the mounts. The one that's waiting is slightly cracked but not leaking oil. What else could it be? The diff or cv joints methinks?

If so, what can I do to confirm which it may be? Thanks heaps all!

I doubt it has anything to do with the mounts.

Swap your CV cup left to right and while they are off, clean, inspect, regrease. If that's the problem you'll see it.

If not, well I have a diff for sale.

Thats sounds alot like what just happened to me and turned out to be the diff, not difficult to change, just not cheap to buy.
I jacked the rear up and let it idle in gear with no noise then put it in 4th and could clearly hear the noise coming from the diff.

Check the large nuts on the end of the CV's are tight ( ones in the centre of the hub when you take the wheels off).

just to let you all know, it was the cv cups as AusS2000 suggested. Gonna install spacers this week which should fix it.
