Custom or OEM? The OEM is just a part you buy from Honda and install.

You can buy some muz mats that go over that ridge to protect it instead but depends how bad the carpet is and how bad its bothering you.

My carpet is also starting to wear on the passenger & drivers side on the edges of those raised bits where ppl put their feet! I was thinking i'll let em get totally ripped before i replace it.

Does anyone know how much a the drivers & passenger side carpet replacements will cost from honda?

If you get the OEM it should not be that difficult. I have removed the smarts carpet a couple of times and besides some extra torx bits and some patience it was smooth sailing. The S is roughly the same size as the smart inside so it shouldn't take you longer than 1 hour to remove and another hour to replace. It may take you longer if you decide to do it without getting yourself some instructions beforehand.

what i did for mine and now Strawberi's car is , i went to supercheap and bough a set of thin/cheap floor matts . i put then under the OEM floor matts and over the hump in a sideways position , as they are soft/flexible and they sit nicely. Saves your carpets in the long run .

I'd give Vuey a hard time about being a tightarse, but then the OEM carpet is cheap in every way except price.
