Default Which car club are you in?

Hey everyone,

i just wanted to see which car club(s) all the Australians have all decided to join. I decided to join the Maserati club, currently, the HSCC division of Victoria is no longer listed as a car club by CAMS.

None. I don't like stickers.

I have been in HSCC of NSW for 6 years.
Our members have S2000s and NSXs.
We do not have stickers.
We used to have our own track days but now we go to other clubs track days.
Our main activities are club drives each month. Yesterday we had one in the Royal National Pak and Wollongong area. Once or twice a year there is a multi-day drive to places like the Snowy Mountains, or Tasmania.

The HSCC of NSW sounds like an active club with activities...HSCCV needs to step it up!

From 1999 to 2005 the HSCCV was THE most active Honda club in Australia. They organised more track days than any other state. In NSW there were a lot of social cruises but these were organised here on S2Ki - not via HSCC NSW.

However, during 2006/2007 HSCCV slowly withered. There was one track day (at Winton) each year but I haven't heard any plans for a 2008 day.

The HSCCV website - http://www.hsccv.org.au/ - hasn't been updated since November 2007 but there are some good photos from past events and a handy "Where to Drive" article.

There was never a good crossover between HSCCV members and S2Ki. People tended to belong to one but not the other. Only a rare few belonged to both.

Hi Mikey,

Welcome to the world of S2000

I'd recommend that you join PIARC - http://www.piarc.com.au/

The Maserati club is quite good but PIARC will give you reciprocal rights to EVERY other car club event.

The PIARC weekend events with practice on the Saturday and sprints on the Sunday are the best club/sprint experience you can have. The Saturday practice sessions offer the best value for money.

Not so. In HSCC of NSW our trackdays and social cruises are organized by email direct to members. Very few of our members are or have been on S2KI: col, swells66, auss2000 and me. I am the only one left.

Essentially HSCC appeals to a different group to S2KI. From a demographic perspective: older than S2KI - mostly 50+ and married. From a car perspective: there is little interest in modifications.

Yeah it appears that HSCCV have ceased or at least ceased to be active.

Thanks for the welcome Redrover, will have a look at PIARC. Many S2000 drivers?
