White,
I was wondering...where abouts on Winton did you manage to get into 5th gear? the quickest I managed to get was about 162-163 on the speedo? but that was comfortable in 4th...

Latest update.
Got a call from my mechanic this morning. In his opinion the engine I bought has done closer to 100k kms. It has platinum spark plugs in them that are usually good for 100k km's which are extremely worn and need replacing. Also, the clutch plate in the "new" engine is very worn and will also need to be replaced.
So early next week I should be back on the road

Hopefully if you do what fisty said, they will fold under pressure and give in because if not, there's no chance in hell you would win.
way too many variables in determining the difference between a 30k motor and a 90k motor.
60k worth of 'wear and tear' can be done in a weeks worth of driving in lean conditions.
in my experience, you have as much chance as winning as a fat midget does of slam dunkign a basketball ring. the only real chance you DO have is as i said, if they fold under pressure.
