Arrow Blimey! (Part II)

During my month long vacation I didn't do much driving and it was mostly on the wife's car. The one day I drove the smart was to go to Lane Cove for a chiro appt. I was running a little late and had the top down so I was going a notch over a notch over the limit

Anywho, I got to Carlinford road and there was this falcodore that was about to overtake me and I thought "Speed camera coming up,,, let the falcodore get snapped". I slowed down to 60 and waited for the falcodore to fly past me.

But to my surprise I see him slowing down more than I was. I thought "WTF???" and then I remembered it was 3pm and it was one of those variable speed cameras. Slam on the brakes right as I am getting into the camera's line of sight. I didn't see a flash so I figured I just made it.

Fast forward to tonight.... there is a letter fine waiting for me: 53 in a 40 zone...

Moral of the story: Don't drive outside your usual hours!

The moral of the story is, don't see chiropracters.

Or see only local ones whose offices you can walk to

I hate school zones. You have to watch your speedo and your watch and work out if venus is rising in uranus all whilst running over an 8 year old (feels just like a speed bump) but at least you're not speeding.

My last infringement was in a school zone that was 50 for normal hours rather than 60. Tell me what dickhead thought it was worth making it variable for that extra 10km/hr for 300m :upyoursrta:

I'm guessing the same one that decided P platers should be OK to drive S2000s but not Mercedes C180s.

Around the corner from my house is a speed camera that is 40-50. I just drive through at 40 the whole time.

I heard a woman complaining about people driving at 40 past cameras when the limit is 50. She said how could they not know it was school holidays! Well I for one wouldn't have the faintest. Sometimes I find myself standing in my raincoat at the gates at 3:20 and no one comes out.
