Red, disagree with your view on white - I had a white VTI-R Teg before the S - it looked it's best when clean of course, but until washing it would clog the drains at the car wash (think wet dirt motorkhana) it rarely looked THAT dirty; my MCB seems to show the dirt more...

I've had a few white cars myself, including the white Civic that you saw.

Why did you choose MC Blue for your S2000 ??

The colour choices at the time (June 99 - so patches and a guess what the interior would be like...)
- White coming out of a white Integra, so didn't particularly want it again; unsure what red interior meant (turned out duller than I imagined, also not full interior either)
- Silver. a couple of shades too dark (had an 88 CRX in silver - liked that)
- Red. Thought most people would have ordered that...
- Black. NO WAY.
- Spa Yellow. Not avail in Aust at that time. (would have been a coin toss vs MCB)

Would have considered a maroon and/or British Racing Green (was told that was the most preferred colour option before the colours were announced)

So that left MCB. Which I am very happy with.

Black will turn heads more than silverstone but only when it has just been cleaned and its wax job is recent. Then nothing can beat it.
For me such moments are rare - half a day to a day, once every few months.
The rest of the time it looks dirty and nobody notices it at all.

Luckily after 3 years of ownership I am getting to treat it more like my 10 year old Holden - love it or at least use it for what it is instead of being a slave to its looks.

This picture shows my S at one of those rare moments.

Go Silverstone! haha *biased*

Its up to you though, perhaps you'd like a change, in which case I'd wait out for the black. Both have their pros and cons, I never appreciated silverstone (thought it was too common) until I saw a clean, polished example under showroom lights, then I fell in love.

I think black looks nice when clean, but it tends to hide the S's flowing lines a bit, not to mention its a bitch to keep clean, also swirls and any little marks (chips, surface scratches) will show up. I've had personal experience cos my ITR was black. Silverstone shows up the s2k lines real well, it also looks great when clean and polished, the only con is that it is the most common colour, so you may not stand out as much as you'd like.

As much as I love silverstone, if i were in your situation Id probably get black, just for a change...unless your S is your daily driver, in which case the amount of paint chips/marks you pick up could drive you insane.

Arg what a tough decision. Everyone seems to be recommending black to me for looks - but I can't imagine keeping it clean. And I also agree with the lines aren't as visible with black.

Even so, black is still gorgeous. I'm stumped.
