Got the car back (albeit after 8 days, 3 days later than expected)...and it is driving sensationally well !
Much quieter on decceleration and maybe it's psychological, but also better clutch action and easier to engage. Amongst other techie things, the job involved a new clutch plate (and I confirmed it is the same one as the 2001/2002 models).
The service guy showed me the cost (had I not been under warranty)....over AUD 2,000! I guess Honda Australia picks up the tab!
