From a n=20-30 "check out who's driving the S beside me" survey, I would say the S2000 has a owner demographic definitely skewed towards younger drivers.
I would say mid 20's to early 30's is the norm (unlike MX5s, Z3s, etc). I put early 30's so I qualify at 31
BTW....dropped my car in for that "Transmission Overhaul Recall" today. Hope all goes well with the trannie AND the car comes back without any additional scuffs or dents
Also, there was a siver S in there for a new engine ...can't be happy about that one.

Hi Christie, Welcome to the world of S2000's.
If you'd like to join the Vic HSCCV (Honda Sports Car Club) just send an email to BillyBlue, 2KTurkey or myself and we'll send you a membership form.
If you'd like to go on a run with some other members next Sunday (17th) Chris Dennis is organising a run to Mirboo & return. You'll see some other threads about this on this board. Should be good - some nice roads, a good restaurant for lunch and the opportunity to buy some boutique beer, plus of course the chance to meet some other S2000 (& ITR) owners.

I dropped my s2000 off at Scotts Artarmon last Wednesday for the second transmission overhaul. The first time it took 3 weeks. I was told today that the parts are not in the country and it will take at least 10 working days to arrive. Then they will have to install the parts, another 2 days. I asked for a courtesy car as i use my car as a means to earn my income and it was blatantly rejected. NOT HAPPY. I'm in discussions with Honda Australia directly and will be tearing them a new Ars#*ole if they don't give me a courtesy car. I'll keep you updated with my progress.

MattS,
Mine went in Monday this week at Scotts and I am suppose to get it back this afternoon! You have got to be majorly pissed off!
The story I got was they checked the car on Monday, ordered the parts on Tuesday and should be complete by Thursday afternoon (today). They service guy I got had absolutely NFI though. I asked him exactly what was being done and he just stuttered about "putting new gears in"....WTF??
Was yours a "noise on deceleration" or "difficulty engaging 2nd" issue?
What did they do the first time that it took 3 weeks!?
Me thinks it's time for a "class action" !

Mine is a problem on deceleration this time. Last time it popped out of second. They could not tell me exactly what they are going to change on it this time. Sounds like i'm dealing with the same rep.
On top of this problem, the engine is really rough after VTEC comes on. It feels really restricted and doesn't want to go over 7500rpm. They wont even look at this problem until the box is fixed.
I have the feeling I will never see my car again

MattS,

I'm lucky, just grabbed a company car for the week...so no probs re courtesy car
