I don't think there's that many cars out there that are fully used for their intended purpose. It's more about whether the car fits your intended purpose for it or not. If part of your intended purpose is being able to lug stuff around occasionally or tow a boat then go for it.

I'd be careful with the moron factor though. Before I got the S I used to drive a VX Commodore and believe me having people want to race you at every stop light got old pretty quickly. I can only imagine how much worse it'd be in a Maloo Ute.

Kuraz.

Never mind guys I'm just being argumentitive. As I pmed Aus its all meant to be a bit tongue in cheek. You guys are stating that if you're not using the tray its not justified and I'm arguing back that I would use the tray, the grey area is that neither of us are directing our points at each other but rather adapting the other pov as a retort.

Aus knows that Im all fun and games when Uni tightens the screws down on me and I become a stubborn, argumentitive pos. Somehow though, I get the feeling he doesn't enjoy it as much as I do, perhaps I should change my user name

What car do you have at the moment? What happened to the Blue S2k?

The funniest bumper sticker I have ever seen reads:

"Yes it's my ute, and no I'm not helping you move."

ps, again back on topic- aren't Chrysler just advertising the bollocks out of the Crossfires! if you turn on a TV in Australia, 76% of the time there will be a Crossfire ad showing at that very moment.

Well, there aren't really that many, but they attract your attention because they're such great ads.

I sold mine about 18 months ago Aussie but I only updated my sig about a month ago, notice the sold in brackets? I drive a little lancer atm and thank god for that, the poor thing is copping a hiding with all the bugs of a night and the shit in the air at my work (Bluescope steel). I posted some pictures of it a while back when I put a little set of wheels on it

I think that the next car(s) for me is either an S2000 or a ute and FF but if I don't stop browsing the classifieds that may change
I already started looking at the FFs... found one for 10k... very tempting... but I think the starts won't align for me for another 6 months or so....

More on used car values: a friend picked up a 2003 ('update' model) MX-5 the other day, 48k, $24,000.

Not bad.
