anyone tried krispy kreme doughnuts yet?
talking to a fellow retail friend of mine and we came across krispy kreme doughnuts. anyway, the guy who has brought the master franchise for Krispy Kreme to Oz is a friend of the guy i was talking to (fellow Mcdonalds ppl).
just wondering if anyone has tried these yet and if so r they that damn good. a lot of health nutritionists have blamed Krispy Kreme in the US for the huge explosion in obesity in that country (altho i think its a combination of many things not just their diet, but extremely high caloric food intake doesnt help).
the numbers my friend told me that the krispy kreme businesses were doing in Oz were astronomical, like ppl will wait 2 hours to buy the things.
thanks

I have not eaten a doughnut in about 8 years. The very thought of the amount of crap that goes into those things.... :shiver:
I was recently told what ingridients go into Doughnut King's doughnuts, and let me tell you the sheer sight of them makes me grab an air-sickness bag!
yuuuk.
Naishou - checked your PMs lately?

Materialism and the ever increasing demand for productivity (and other by-products of capitalism) gives people less time to do the 'normal' family things we once did (like cook a meal). We're too busy for that. We have $500,000 mortgages to pay off and we're killing ourselves doing it.

I shudder to think that one day every major street around the world will be a homogenous strip of tacky franchise outlets and our world will be ruled by the three ring binder.
If you feel you need more partially hydrogenised fats to smother your heart and your arteries need more lining there are plenty of Australian junk foods available.
