Gentlemen, I am disappointed to hear that you consider attempts to improve our standards as being unnecessary.
I know Jacob reasonably well and I am certain that he does not appreciate sarcastic comments any more than I do. The simple fact is, that as a vendor, he most likely feels the need to hold his tongue whilst under other circumstances he would not.
I do not apologise for trying to improve the quality of banter on this forum nor will I resile from it.
As far as leaving moderating to moderators, I simply state that if we effectively self moderated then there would not be any need for moderators. Yes, I'm an anarchist at heart - unfortunately reality sometimes gets in the way of my purist beliefs.
Remember "It's not what you say but the way that you say it".
