Default 350Z / Rx7?

Been thinking of selling the S and getting either a 350z or Rx7.

Though I'm leaning more towards the 350z.

Just want to see what the opinion is out there.

350Z nah.
FD 7's are just spectacular. So timelessly beautiful.

But on a more serious note, take both for a drive back to back, and make up your own mind which you prefer.

The fuel guzzling rotor, or the Nissan boat?

rx7 fd is going to be a pain in the ass to run and maintain. I've driven one and it's fkn awesome! as light and nimble as the s2k with huge twin turbo power...

The 350z is the more sensible choice if you need to use the car daily. Lots of torque compared to the s2k, sure it's bigger but you get used to it easily!

I dropped by Nissan show room in Ginza, Tokyo a few days ago. The new 370Z looks aweseome compare to the older 350Z. Hold on to your 350Z order if you can. I am sure the price for the 350Z will dive when the 370 comes out.

Yeah agree with Jono, but personally I would still pick the FD.

Yes, it is hard to maintain an FD, change plug every 10000km and add engine oil constantly.

However, there are still a HUGE following of FDs in Japan and there is a quarterly magazine for it (RX-7 magazine). Meetings and track days around Japan every couple of month for rotary only. It is just unique.

If you don't want the fuss... just get a simple car.
