Default 2006 S2000

Taken from another car site - vwvortex. Note sure on the validity of the article but interesting nonetheless. With what they've done to the car, it pretty much confirms I won't be trading.

So, bar the F22C engine & perhaps cruise control I'm guessing the Aus-delivered version will have all the other changes/gadgets? I wonder how much it will weigh? The current 04/05' version is at 1285kg already.

Probably. It would be interesting to see if the VSA does indeed make the car faster around a track. Don't agree on the bit where it says the VSA will "enhance driver control", when it effectively does the opposite.
It's moving further and further away from "track-oriented" in the design, such as the solid headrests, while better for daily driving doesn't give you the helmet space you got with the pre-05 model seats with the cavity.

To be honest though, my helmet never sat perfectly in the cavity anyway.

I know that Japan is having the F22C as the default, so Aus is having F22C also? Thats very strange, 5 years of F20C and 2 years of the updated model, and now different again? Hondas kinda getting towards the Mitsubishi Evo method, of changing the car every year or 2.
To be honest I dont like the 06 rims (ugly), head rest of the seats are geheyyyy, and as far as difference in performance goes, I highly doubt its any better than the 05 or below.

I expect Aus will get the 2.2.

The DBW is essentially to give throttle control to the ECU. Hence the stability control. Sounds like a good thing if posts on this forum are any reflection of people's driving experience.

If it has an LSD why you need traction control, unless your a dumb ass The only thing that the S2000 should have come standard with from 02+ at least is the calipers, for $73000 they could have put Brembos or equivelant in. Thats not to say the standard brakes are crap, they are awesome, but you know.
