Default 2001 S2K

Hei guys I'am new to this forum so Hi to you all first...

Anyway, I own a white DC5R at the moment but I'am thinkin of gettin' S2K probably year 2001 coz I heard year before apparently has a little problem with the clutch. How much do you guys think is the price range for 2001 S2K that has done <45000kms?

I've done my research but just want to ask for your opinion. I love black with red int. Anyway I'm still thinkin' abt it coz I still love my type R and still need to save up a lil' bit for it. Thanks a lot guys..

Are you going for it through a dealership or private sale? Or both?
I was just looking for my s2k not long ago, and most of the 2001's I came across with that sort of mileage were in the mid-high 40k range. Some even hopped it into the 50k area. There is a j-spec 01' for sale down here, its silver advertised with 35,000kms but apparently has only done 6,000kms. That one is going for 39k if you're interested in a grey import?

My father test drove it as I didnt have the time to see it, and he said it felt noticeable stronger than our AUDM model. However there are issues with owning a grey import, mainly insurance...so that price difference you see will be made up quickly if you own the car for a couple of years.

Anyway good luck with your search, if you can afford it get it...you won't be disappointed! This is coming from a former DC2 ITR owner.

18 months ago my mate got an '01 with 60k for $45k.

recently someone up here got an '01, with 67k, for $42k, from a dealer.

i'd be shooting for $40k privately.

I recently bought the 01 with 67Kms for $42K. The 01 model still has the clutch buzz if that is the issue you are talking about. After a couple of weeks I hardly noticed it any more.

I didn't think you'd be able to register a grey import S2K.

I got a '99 with 16Kms for $45k in may. Do you think the extra price for such low Ks is worth it??

thanks guys.....That is I want to ask as well is it worth paying more for low ks S2K's?

I might probably be able to get it in jan or feb next year and hopefully it'll get even cheaper so i could get it. I might get it privately since it's normally cheaper. Thanks for the info's guys, really appreciate it...

No matter what the car low K's and service history cost more. I didn't go for an absolutely pristine low k's one because I can't be trusted to keep it that way

I've done 4000Kms in 2.5 months and I will do most services myself.
