I really like it!

It shortens the shift considerably and results in a more "meaty" shift. Feels really solid and positive compared to the standard. I'm quite surprised at how different it feels .

Does it call for a shorter shift boot?

I'll be talking to the upholsterers tomorrow about a shift boot and was wondering if the shorter shift knob would benefit from a custom boot? And maybe a sock?

Ooops, just checked the linked thread and I guess the answer is yes.

I just ordered one of your knobs (etched S2000/6 speed). If you can get it to me by next weekend I'll show it off at the club run on Sunday.

A shorter boot would be more aesthetically pleasing although it doesn't seem to bother me much when shifting. It would only do that if I felt I was grabbing the boot on shifts and that doesn't occur.

It will be ready for pick-up this afternoon and should be there in a couple of days.

Cool. If you've got some business cards put them in as well.

Unfortunately I don't have any for the car accessories side of things mate. I should think about getting some made I guess. I am however doing up a catalogue in .PDF format to send out to the clubs.

I have to highly recommend Muz's shift knob. Got mine this morning. Billoddy courier woke me at 7am after the New Order concert last. Should've seen my feeble attempt at a signature on the delivery note.

Anyways, I was heading out about 10:30 so I though I would have a go at installing it. Took all of 5 minutes. Even screwed down to proper alignment (was that planned?) but I tightened up the lock screw anyway.

The feel is amazing. It fits in your hand comfortably and the shift is so short and precise. Can't wait to really give it a work out this weekend.

Muz, great work. I love it.

Muz, if you do up a one page brochure in PDF format I'll colour print a dozen or so and hand them out this weekend.
