Default Visiting Japan in December

I plan to visit Japan in mid-December this year.
Plan to spend around 3 days in Tokyo and around 4 days travelling around the country.

I need some advice for places for car enthusiasts to visit in Japan and other places that would be recommended to visit for foreigners.

Thanks in advance.

i'm going to japan in december as well, so they're great tips on some places to go. thanks! I was also hoping to goto www.zele-international.com, the nismo factory, top secret, super autobacs, upgarage, see some of the race courses like suzuka, fuji, and twin motegi and definiately have to catch the bullet train too!
Damn though, i think only tokyo is on my stay list, so i'll have to have bullet train day visits to Kyoto and Osaka.

where will you be staying Lunacy? I think while i'm in tokyo i'll be staying at Shinjuku.

I hear tourists should have a visit by Ropongi as well.

Roppongi can be quite interesting...
there is a pretty big mix of people there, unlike other areas in Tokyo. Shinjyuku is a good place to stay.. right in the heart of the city so you can go pretty much anywhere via train.

good list of places you'd like to check out..
i'll be there at the end of november, but probably won't have too much time to visit those sites.... was hoping to visit the honda museum, but that's about it...

Is buying the 7 day pass for JR rail ways recommended?
Or would I be better off buying tickets for each trip

depends on where you plan on going.
if you are in tokyo, and plan on going to places like osaka/kyoto area, then you are close to making the money back. also, if you are flying into narita, then the express train into tokyo also will cost you a bit....
having said that, if you plan on staying just in the tokyo area, then probably not worth it... also if you go out at night, the trains stop pretty early so you'll be using cabs to get around anyway..
hope that helps..

A trip to Japan wouldn't be complete without a visit to Twin Ring Motegi and the Honda Collection Hall, especially if you're a Honda fan. If you need directions, just PM me.
