Default S2Krewe Tech Day

Hey guys,

There has been an apparent interest to do a tech day, possibly before our little outing on November 15th. That doesn't leave us much time, so lets get the ball rolling! I think the only dates between now and then are November 8th or 9th. The tech day can be used for individual interests, such as EXTREME washing/waxing, valve adjustments, fender rolling, throttle adjustment, brake jobs, or just "shooting the shit" while you watch others work like dogs.

I am currently homeless (not really, but living with a friend until we find a new place and sell the old one) so I can't host a tech day where I live, plus most of you live on the south shore. Who is up for hosting said tech day at his/her home? You need to consider the amount of space it will take to park this number of cars.

Please post your interest, availability for the 8th or 9th, and anything that you can contribute to a tech day. We will need a place to host the tech day, tools and other equipment, food, beverages (BEER), hot women dressed in slutty outfits to fan us with cool air whilst we work feverishly over our hot engines... and possibly other crap that I can't think of.

Lets do this!

1. S2Krazy2 - good for either date, but I would prefer the 9th. I can supply tools and equipment for brake jobs and valve adjustments, etc...

Nov 9th is TLAC, so I'd be out.
Nov 8th is out too, because i need to do some more work on the Lotus.

Nov 14 is fine for me
Nov 15 is MGMC Track day, but I think I'm just going to drop by and watch sometime during the day.

I've a Motive Power Bleeder, so I'm down for doing brake work.

Paul, you cutting hoods?

I'll be cutting my spare OEM hood, but I can f**k up ALMOST as much as I want because it's being repainted anyway!

Can't really go wrong with a unibit and pneumatic saw. I might even try a pneumatic nibbler and see how that works. CLEAN cuts and no burring FTW!

I think the 14th is cutting it a bit too close to the track day on the 15th; a few of us are participating..... plus 14th is a Friday.

BTW, I'm jealous that you get to do R&D on the Lotus. I'm dying to get my hands dirty again. It's been too long since I've fabricated something.

I'm working on the Elise, not the seven. We cleaned the air filter and removed the airbox for cleaning (required fender liner removal), and cleaned the throttle body. I have to change the tires and get it on a trailer for TLAC4, plus put new numbers on the car.

Did someone mention Lucas Electric?

BTW, I have no use for a tech day but am willing to lend a hand if anyone would want/need it.
