VTEC most on group drives, and when passing a vehicle on two-lane highways. The rest of the time, I normaly shift between 4,500 and 5,000 rpms, which saves rear tires from excessive wear. My S is not the daily driver, so it spends most of its time clean and covered in a climate controlled garage. It is supercharged, so it has more torque in the mid-rpm & upper ranges than a stock S (which lessens the need for higher rpms going up grades or accelerating to merge with traffic).

lol, i was probably the guy who was hitting vtec about once a month or three times a month. but that was when gas cost $4 a gallon. but now when it cost 1.60 ish, i do it about 3-4 times a day. lol today it did it about maybe 6-8 times.

speaking of which, i was shifting from 1 to 2 at redline, on a drive road at 57 degrees and my clutch is wearing way down and has 36,000 miles on it. my car all of a sudden loss grip. i also have g-force kdw-2 with about 50% left. wondering why it does that?

Well may not be wearing down if your sig is right you have an 06 which has the CDV therefore it will do that. The newer models have a heavier flywheel and this is to protect from excessive drive train shock. I hate it though

yeah it could be, but i have taken that into account. i had the car for more than two years and for the first year i drove it hard and i raced it for a while. and did heavy launching about 7-8K. so the clutch has been getting bad. and yes i hate it two. but anyways, i was wondering is it b/c of the tire being cold.
