Let's pick a date in January and go driving. How about the 22nd or the 29th? We can worry about where we drive later, but let's settle on a date that's good for everyone first.
we were thinking about renting a cabin out on Lake Bisteno (however you spell it) and having a party there with the local group... maybe we could plan for that?
How about we do both. Have a drive.. say on the 29th and end at Lake Bistino(sp) for a roaring fire and a party.. I dont expect anyone to dance naked around it esp since it will be cold in Jan. Bring smores and dogs and well BYOB.
What has been decided on this event? I have some new members and I need to let them know something.
Also, we need to get off our butts and get some new membership. Perhaps we can make some plans during the January event, if we are goig to have one?
Let me know what the plan is?
If its not going to come off, I will set a date to meet at my place to decide how to go about increasing our membership.

That sounds good for us! The 29th would be better for us since we have a couple of birthdays to attend around the other week but we could make it. Is this Lake Bistineau outside of Shreveport? I looked it up and its a "short" drive for us.
update.. Deluxe cabin at Lake Bistineau with outside fire area and a fireplace is $65 a night... it's located about halfway between Shreveport and Monroe. check out www.lastateparks.com under Parks to see it. Suposedly the cabins are made for 8 people comfortably, but they allow more as long as 'we're quite about it.' If we need to, i'm sure we could rent two cabins side by side, but we'll figure that out when we know something.
If we can work out a date and divide the $65 by how many people are coming to rent the cabin, then it sounds like a plan.
So is the 29th good for everyone? We really should pick the DATE first. It looks good for my2002stuk and Zoomer, but IS THE DATE GOOD FOR ANYONE ELSE?????????
