Default Camping suggestions?

Sorta last minute, some friends of mine and I decided we'd like to go camping this Labor Day weekend. We started out discussing visiting Hot Springs National Park, but it looks like the camping there is limited and first-come-first-served so I suspect we'd be SOL getting a spot there.

None of us know the Arkansas area very well - last time I went on one of the drives was probably about five years ago - so I was wondering if somebody could suggest a nice place we could take the dog to, near Broken Bow, Hot Springs or the like. (Ozark Nat'l Forest and the Boston Mountains are a bit further away than what the group would like to drive to...)

Thanks!

Hmm... it's prolly not as close to Hot Springs as you want but Lake DeGray in Caddo Valley has a lot of nice camping spots. It's closer to Texas than Hot Springs by about 30 mins or so... only downside is that it's in a dry county. BOO!!!
