I was driving home from the bar lastnight, after a couple drinks, cops everywhere, and I had 3 people try to race me. First was a new R32. He kept flying up next to me, then past me, then slammed on his brakes to line up next to me on the 101. This went on from the time I got on the 101S at Glendale Ave, and continued until I hit Litchfield Park exit on I10W. Then I pass an SRT-4 and he follows me off the exit. He was getting ready to turn off, then sees the traffic light turn red, so he swerves out of the turn lane to line up with me. I gently pull away from the light and he keeps trying to run with me. I just kept cruising, so he pulled a quick u-turn. I also had some mustang on the 101 try as well. I had a couple drinks, had my GF in the car, she was like wtf is going on. It seems after every other Monday night meet I get someone trying to race. A few weeks ago it was a car full of people wearing sidewayz hats. They were rocking a Jag XJ-R, its the 4 door R version, something with like 500HP, brake calipers and rotors the size of my 17in wheel. Nice car, but stupid fast, they tried to race me for about 10 miles.

Guess I am just ranting and raving, but someone always trys to race me..even pickup trucks from traffic lights. I never race these people, but man sometimes I wish I was boosted and could just destroy them so they would leave me alone. The S is an awesome car, and is quick, but will get destroyed by most newer cars on the highways. I thought about going with the R32, but I was dead scared of the SRT-4! I dont need my ego shot to hell by a neon..all due respect, they are fast, but its still a neon!

Does anyone else have this problem?

Not true. I have beat srt-4s r32's and of course mustangs... But i def had a wednesday motor.

And sucky drivers in the other cars... SRT-4 was the only car I was worried about getting spanked by.

Any time I'm in the Forester, I always get the Scion xb's trying to run me. I usually just give it half throttle and pull away easy. In the S, people really don't mess with me anymore. Maybe it's all the gray hair.

Trust me you would be surprised how fast it actually is... Your just thinking oh man he'll kill me, unless hes seriously boosted not really... I ran my buddies 350zs plenty number of times (bolt ons such as header and so on) and some of them i beat and some i was dead even with. If Im not paranoid about cops I could care less win or loose, its fun.

Its the cops that worry me, I know where they hide out 95% of the time and thats always when some idiot is trying to race me. Im not paying for a 10 year supply of Krispy Kreme to the goodyear PD.

Yea, this thread wasnt about who I can beat, and which car is faster...and street racing....which I am not interested in.

Just wondering if you guys have people trying to race you often.
