Sorry I misread your post. I thought you meant "both looked like they were racing" to mean that I was racing as was the white S2k. Anyway I still think it was a tiny bit insensitive to ask about the center console. I just got back from the hospital and I'm still a little high on percocet. I will definitely miss that car though!
@ap1lvr, I haven't heard from the insurance company yet because MCSO still hasn't even told me where my car is. I'll keep you guys posted as to what happens next.

sorry, didn't know your injuries were serious, i have heard of plenty of people that walk away from an S accident and are fine. guess yours wasn't that lucky. hope you get another one, they are a blast to enjoy.
FYI, my center console doesn't have the leather or carpet underneath the plastic console. someone pulled it out and painted the aluminum black when they changed the red carpet to black. it was like that when i bought it... i suspect the previous owner tracked the car since i don't have any trunk pieces at all either.
again, sorry for youer accident. hopefully you recover soon and can close the book on what happened.

Here it is. The extent of my injuries. Judging by all the photos and video I've seen I was extremely lucky to walk away with just a gash on my head. I'm guessing it was from smacking my head against the convertible latch. Always wear your seatbelt guys, that's probably one of the reasons I'm still alive right now.
