Default Visiting Tempe next week... bring the S?

I am contemplating bringing my s on a road trip, and am wondering what to expect weatherwise... My wife has a course to attend on Sat and Sunday, I intend on golfing! The safe thing to do would to drive the Tahoe - very cozy. The FUN thing to do, drive the S. Problem is, my driveway is snowcovered, and rather steep. Once I get on paved roads, I should be okay. But I wonder if it would really be worth it this time of year. What's the weather like in AZ this time of year?!

Thanks - Kent

The forecast for the next few day is mostly sunny, highs in the mid to upper 70's and lows at night in the low 50's.

Today is a great day for "top down" driving. Hope you can get down your driveway alright.

The weather here is great just as GNALUZU said. The only problem is getting here
Have a great trip either way!

Thanks for the weather reports! Think I had better play it smart - this time anyway.

I have two days for golf - any "must play" courses? Restaurant rec's for dinner?

Thanks! Kent

Golf isn't my thing so I'm of little help in that regard...

But, let me know approximately what area you are staying in and what types of food you like and I can help you there!

Rolling Hills in Tempe is a fun, short course with reasonable rates for this season. Dobson Ranch in Mesa is also nice and affordable.

Out on the West side there are 3 courses that I can recommend that are reasonably affordable at least for Winter-time Phoenix area golf and one in Sun City West.

Sierra Estrella Golf Course (Not Estrella Mountain Ranch, this is a Jack Nicklaus course and although excellent I think the green fees are in $100+ range.)
Coldwater Springs $60
Palm Valley $65
Hillcrest up in Sun City West is a great course, but may be a little pricey in the Winter (the first 3 PGA Senior tour events that were played in Phoenix were at Hillcrest)
Coldwater and Palm Valley are about 15 minutes West of downtown, and just off the I-10 interstate.
Sierra Estrella is farther maybe 40 minutes or so, but worth it and has the cheapest green fee ~$35

Let us know when you're in town and maybe we can have a mini meet for food and drinks someplace.

Thanks for the info people!

Last night the wife began to feel sick - now she has a high fever and feels all achey... we may postpone if she isn't better...

A "mini meet" would be great if I do end up driving! Always up for a few beverages!

Thanks again for the input.

Well, the trip is off - wife has the flu BAD. Thanks anyway for the info, I will print it out, and pull it out for the next Tempe trip. Looks like a beautiful part of the US.

Back to making jello...
