Most Honda's make more power in the midrange by switching to a lower engagement point.......

look @ my earlier post regarding why honda sets it so high from the factory.

I have had VTEC anywhere between 3000k and 5800 on my old integra GSR depending on what the mods were on the car @ the time.

The key is tuning the fuel and ignition tables to take advantage of the change
