I doubt they would tune it that way if its not safe
I agree with this man...doesn't make since......

As far as I know, for most cars Honda sets the VTEC engagement point Higher so that A- it feels like hitting MAD VTEC YO! and B- emissions/mileage reasons

it's wierd getting used to a 4.5k vtec. not sure if it's safe or not
do you have a before/after dyno graph? 4500 seems very low for VTEC.

4500 is fine. Not like you're gonna be in VTEC right as you hit 4500 rpm.

No you aren't in VTEC all the time, but the VTEC cams aren't designed to make power spinning at a lower RPM like 4500. Thats why I wanted to see a dyno graph.

The way tuners set up vtec is to make sure it comes in when it starts to make more power about what the small cams can do. Simmy's liked vtec at near 4... i don't remember exactly where. you are ok to lower vtec, but if you go too low, you will lose power... your vtec point seems perfect compared to other ap2's. thats about where they like it.

I know, I was just showing how it's ok to have a lower VTEC point as long as there's not drastic drop in torque when you do.
