Track tires for HPDE
I need to pick up a couple tires for the rear, 245/45-16...should I go with the Toyo RA1's?
Where's the best place to get 'em and uh, do they shave? thx & merry x-mas

Short term - stock SO2's (my rears are at the wearbars)...long term - new fronts to match whatever I put on the back. I know mixing tires is not the best idea, but it's just temporary til I find some 18" street wheels I like, and the S isn't my DD.
Are the Toyo's the way to go? Looking for a good mix of grip, durability, and cost.

The toyo's are the only way to go if you want R comp tires but you will have an understeering pig on your hands if you're on track like that. The reason I asked was I had a sneaking feeling you may be doing that. I have a couple of 205 RA-1 fronts on rims that I don't need anymore (I'm unstaggered now). They are pretty shot but can make a few days (on an absolutely dry track ). I also have some rear S0-2's that have about 3-4k miles that are unmounted sitting in the garage. If either option sounds good shoot me an offer.
