Default Tire sizing

Hey,

Just needed some help with some tire sizes because I have a set of Vsxx 18x8 +35f and 18x8.5 +35r (eventually will swap the 8.5 to the front and rebarrel the fronts to 9.5) and was wondering on what sizes I should run? I don't mind if they are stretched a little. Im also sitting on JIC coilover and the fenders are shaved front and rear.

Also, ive checked the tire fitment guide and I couldn't seem to find any help on that thread

Thanks for the input guys!

Hmmm, I had 18x8 and 18x9 and my tire sizes were 225/40/F and 255/35/R but that was for "standard fitment" wheels. Lol, I don't know if that helps you any .

+35 8.5s front is going to require pretty extreme rolling and camber to not be mexi flush. Damaged fenders is all I hear in your future with that setup unless you run steel rods for shocks.

IMO, sell them or re-barrel all 4 to a higher offset. 8.5F +50 front 9.5 +60 rear. I know that rids of the deep dish though.

Thanks for the replies guys! What if I keep the current set up now with 18x8 +35F and 18x8.5 +35R? Will there be any issues in the front with 8's instead of 8.5?

Its not your widths that are agressive its the offset. I would get 215/40/18 and 245/35/18 but you are going to need a roll and some camber to make those fit. If you do rebarrel I would try and increase the offset on both wheels because going wider will make that low offset even more difficult to fit.

Increase offset? What?

18x8.5 +35 will require a little work, but not much, and it won't look anywhere near mexiflush.

Most likely you will need to roll/pull your fronts just a touch, and a nice roll in the back and you'll be all good.

17x9+35 255/40/17 all around here.

If you rebuild the wheels with new barrels to widen them you can change the offset of the wheel at least thats what i understand from what I have read.

I've seen 17x9 +35. It's Mexi flush in my opinion. Have to run a useless amount of camber to make it not mexiflush on NON-pulled fenders. Pulling your fenders and extreme amount just doesn't look good IMO. 8.5 would look a little less mexi flush.

If 17x8.5+ 35 looked right, WAY more people would be running aftermarket wheels and I still see a TON of Ap1s rollin Ap1 wheels these days.

We can agree to disagree. Internet

How much camber do you run? I have 1.6 on the front and 1.8 on the back. Not exactly extreme camber.

Again, only things done are rear bumper tab relocate, mild pull, fronts are rolled and have a bit of a pull. That's it. I can go lower and do not rub, but choose not to since I don't want to buy roll center adjusters.

I will say that the offset on the front could be a bit about 10mm lower and I'd be ok with that, and it'd be a much easier fit.
