On an act clutch setup does the throwout bearing go on the outside of the pressure plate or does part of it go on the inner side of the teeth?

if you look at these pictures you can see that the bearing is somehow attached to the pressure plate

On the 2 clutch installs I have done, the bearing is just resting between the clutch and pressure plate until they are bolted together. The clutch alignment tool holds them in the proper place until everything is bolted up to spec.

I put the bearing on the outside I start my 20 hour job redoing it now!

You may want to get the service manual. It has step by step directions with pictures, Tq specs, etc.. I think you can find it online somewhere

yes it goes in like in the pics. thats how phils came out and thats how we put it back in.
