For those coming to SoCal Sept 11-13, a pre-event canyon drive.
Hi All!
Heads up! Anyone coming to town the weekend of Sep 11-13, if you can come into town a little early, I'm organizing a drive in Malibu on Friday September 11, 2015. I have to cap the entries to 9 cars per lead driver. I definitely have 4 lead drivers confirmed, and possibly a fifth. So we are starting this out with space for 36 to sign up. Please do NOT sign up as a maybe and please don't be a no-show. There are a lot of reasons why, but the most important is that we have a limited number of spots and if you take a spot but then you flake, that means someone else who wanted to go couldn't.
There are three people from AZ already signed up, so join the fun!
Who: You and your canyon-ready car
(rental cars ok, but no SUVs, minivans, or other rolling-road-block vehicles please)
What: Malibu Drive
When: FRIDAY September 11, 2015 from 10:30am to ~4:30ish pm
Where: Malibu, CA near here (https://www.google.c...43c7188bdcc8d90)
Why: because you want to see scenic Malibu, the famous Mulholland Highway, and drive some cool roads
How: With gusto!

UPDATE Sep 2, 2015:
Cut off date for sign up will be Tuesday September 8 at 6pm. No additional sign ups will be accepted after that. I will need to be creating our run groups Tuesday night, printing up route sheets, and making sure all the last little bits are in order.
Also, please be sure to have at least $5 in cash on you per person. It's for the snack stop. You might not need it, but if you do need it and you don't have it, it won't be pleasant.

Been recon'ing the drive over the past few weeks and it's really going to be great. For those who might be in the area later in the day but can't make the drive, a group of us will be at Reel Inn restaurant in Malibu after the drive. Probably get there between 3 and 4pm. It's a really great fish market and restaurant on PCH with a view of the water. http://www.reelinnmalibu.com/
