After some long consideration, we decided to move the meet to the side of the freeway.

Glad to hear you at least got the other one in... You guys are crazy for doing it all in a night after working on cars all day!

Our tech day didn't end until around 4AM! If anyone is wondering, the final verdict is that the diff failed. Pulled the drain plug and out came chunks. Luckily I had another diff to replace it with so I'm back on the road again.

All in all, for being a shitty experience everything went extremely smooth.
That's good news. I'm glad it was a relatively painless recovery for you.

I had a good time yesterday, meets at Mike's places are always good times. I did expect to see a lot more people though.

Did it not like the new fluid? I am puzzled by the sudden failure.

IDK, I did hammer it making that right turn getting onto the 101 just to get the jump on the traffic.

Here are a few pics I took

The pics don't look as good as they did before I posted them here for some reason though.

Just got everything back in it's proper place. I ended up with 2 extra jack stands and a transfer pump to be claimed at your convenience (they're NOT going anywhere) and as you know I don't use transfer pumps. I have about 50 quarts of used fluid to get rid of over the next few weeks at the various O'Reilly's and AutoZone's in the area. You guys also depleted my supply of washers, so I'll be placing an order with Ben, or on-line soon. My memory is sketchy in my old age, but I do think Feezy and datboi owe me for some diff fluid.

Sorry to hear about your diff Chris, and boy am I glad you did your own work there. I did clean your diff drain plug and while it did NOT have chunks, I do remember seeing a few extra big flakes that I haven't seen on any other diff plugs.

Good times as always and we'll tentative schedule the weekend after the Superbowl for next year too.
