Supercharged S2K as a daily driver in AZ?
What do you guys think about a 2000-2001 S2k with a supercharger with around 90,000 miles? Would I be able to rely on it as a daily driver with this Arizona weather? And what is a good price for it?

^^^^what he said...but as long as the internals of the engine are good along with some other basic engine stuff .....it should be fine...

You can certainly daily drive it. That is a lot of miles but it really depends on how it was driven. I daily drive mine and I hardly ever hit boost during my commute. I'd take a high mileage commuter over a low mileage track car anyday.
Does it have the aftercooler? That will help a lot with the heat issue. You can also upgrade the radiator, thermostat, intake manifold gasket, etc, but it's not really necessary.
That said, you NEED to get it checked out and tuned before driving it hard. I can't tell you how many issues I have had come up from buying a used car with the SC already installed. They cut a ton of corners and I ended up having to get a new long block. You need some $$ put away because things can easily go wrong, and it won't be cheap when they do.

i have almmost that many miles and i drive mine daily, no problems. that being said, i am not boosted. as said before, make sure the motor is good, no rear end noises or tranny sounds and get it tuned. can't stress it enough. check for good compression and get it tuned...

Depends on the kit, the amount of boost, how much hp youre putting down, etc.. Given youre talking about a supercharger, im going to guess comptech in which case there is little extra maintenance (in comparison to other kits)
With that being said, the car has been boosted for 40k miles now so who knows what could break at this point

Yeah the kit is a comptech with aftercooler...not sure how much boost, but the guy said it was his daily driver and not tracked raced and the kit was recently taken off to put a new clutch in and the kit was inspected and cleaned. I am just worried about the miles and that he does not have any service records. Anyone have the unlimited carfax and willing to run one for me? Thanks
