Default Stupid Motorist Law

I'm sorry but this is freaking crazy, I'm sick of my tax dollars going to aid people stupid enough to try and ride out a hurricane. The winds from IKE reached 145mph before the storm even made land fall.........WTF people get the **** out of the way. If you are told multiple times to evacuate like the people in Galveston, TX were and choice to stay for any reason. You should be held financial responsible for the cost of your rescue post hurricane.

Now I know some people are going to be like, well some people don't have the financial means to just uproot and leave everything behind. BULLSHIT! If a Category 4 hurricane is coming to kick your ass, anyone with a little common would do everything and anything possible to get them and their loved ones to safety.

agreed... one old lady said she was staying behind to shoot any looters that came to rob her or her neighbors...

a noble cause but thats why you and your neighbors pay insurance... and besides... the house probably isn't there to loot anymore anyways.

i agree, if you decide to ride out a CAT3/4 hurricane, then you deserve to pay for your rescue.

Yeah but there were all kinds of hurricane refugee centers in Houston and other places nearby, offering food, shelter, and clean water.

Now, these people who refused to leave are stuck on an island, without clean water, power, or mode of transportation. I agree completely that they should be held accountable for their rescue.

People should always set aside some money for emergencies.

I would much rather take a chance of them looting my stuff than taking a chance at dying.

Stop using logic - That doesn't work for 90% of Americans.

True. For every dollar you don't save you can get a double cheeseburger from McDonald's.
