South Korean Owners?

South Korean Owners?
I'm moving to Korea in a couple of months and decided to bring the S2K along for the journey. Anyone have any idea if there is an owners group out there or if it'll be a rare sight to see another one on the road?

I was stationed at Kunsan in 04-05. I wasn't into s2000's then so I don't recall seeing any, but non-Korean cars were a rarity. I think the import tax for foreign cars was literally around 100%, so if you saw something like a Lamborghini (I was passed by one once), then the owner was extremely wealthy. Some GI's will bring their corvettes (I remember seeing the same 2-3 in Osan), and those draw gasps and stares wherever they go - I test drove a '99, and EVERYONE watched me at stoplights, kids in cars cheered, and I generally felt like a celebrity.
Where are you going in Korea? If you are in Seoul, there might be one or two other s2ks, but if you're anywhere else you will probably draw a ton of attention. The highways are pretty good, and all speed cameras are marked well in advance before you get to them. You also know where cameras are because the drivers (esp the cab drivers) floor it at all times, only standing on the brakes when there is a camera. There's some crazy drivers over there - cab drivers are known for their reckless high speeds (and most have hardcore porn on the flip out dash CD player that they're happy to put on if you happen to ask). I remember cab rides back to base where we did 120 through residential neighborhoods, and did handbrake-slides up to the base gate. Those guys are crazy.
Watch out for the soju! Enjoy the yaki!

Jae is in South Korea (Bro's Vendor). He used to be in business with GTmotoring, but is now doing his own thing at BROS. Look him up if you get the chance, he's a real nice guy, I'm sure he should know about S Korea S2K clubs.

I moved to Korea last year and I left my S2K back in Cali. I have been wanting to find a S2000 club but had no luck. I just miss my car so much I wanna meet other people who have it here in Korea. S2X10 any luck meeting peeps with S2ks here? Hit me up and maybe we can hang out. I am tempted to bring my car here because I miss it so much. How is your car holding up on these roads if you are here? I live in Seoul near Suyu.
