I grew up looking up to Senna and in many ways he was always an inspiration to me.
After I saw this movie, all I was left with was the depiction of yet another whiny, childish, and overtly emotional person, who wasn't that much different than any other race car driver.
The documentary gave me the impression Senna was not mentally strong enough to conquer the obstacles he had to go through. Maybe it was the way they put the film together, or maybe I had just picked out the bits I wanted to admire from his life. I had this mental picture of who he was and I just wish it would have stayed that way, even if I didn't know the whole story.
It seems I may be among the very few who think so as the movie has been well received everywhere.
