Removing emblems

Okay I used student Id and rust oleum decal and adhesive remover. it was the only thing other than goo gone that was available at auto zone. It was a bad choice. I noticed little scratches and man it took forever to get the adhesive off. Should I put the wax on and buff it or just wax? What kind of what is recommended?

I have always let the car sit out in the sun, then used a hair dryer and dental floss, or fishing line. Then sometimes just continue to heat the glue and used my fingers to roll and ball up the left over adhesive, or some adhesive remover. After that then you must wax that area of your car...the remover will strip all the wax that it touches. If you have some heavy scratches, use some 3m rubbing compound lightly until they are gone, then wax.

Hey gents, when yall remove the emblems (I'm thinking of the "H" in front and back, and the side S2000s), do they leave any holes in the body? Or are your only worries the adhesive left over?
I had a 2000 Civic Si and I remember removing the emblems only to discover I'd then have to take it to a body shop to have the holes filled and smoothed over properly. It cost a pretty penny, too.
