Safety is always a concern with aftermarket seats but I wouldn't expect something like this from Recaro. I suspect a lot of replica seats are even worse but don't have the testing to find actual problems. Waiting for a solution but I'll continue to use them in the meantime as I believe the risk is fairly small.
