Default Rear Diff

Hey guys i just baught this ap1 with 140k on it and i got a JDM Hmotor for it and an ap2 tranny so everything should be pretty nice. The only thing that worries me is the diff. I know the s2k diffs, especially the ap1 diffs, are not great. Is this something that would probably go out soon? What happends when they go out? has anyone experienced this? Car doesnt lock up does it?

If anyones got an ap1/ap2 diff laying around (which i doubt) id definitley be interested

or are there some other local options that maybe rebuild it or something? for a decent price?

Science of Speed offers a rebuild service if you just want some piece of mind. From my experience the diff will give you some warning before it goes.

Lots of different noises, then a clunking sound, and finally it just gives out. Kinda like my wife.
