I'm talking about the thin metal lip, should have used the proper term which is "staked". You can use a flat blade screw driver to pry that part up.

Yup did that. I ended up going to a shop I know and asked the guy to break it loose for me and hand tighten it so I can take it off myself at home. While I was there he gave me a breaker bar.
